A new discounted transportation service offers a taste of luxury to the everyday airline traveler.  EmptyLimo, an airport transportation service, offers limousine service to passengers for up to 50% off retail rates.

EmptyLimo is a booking site that offers last minute deals on open runs with luxury transportation services. A passenger can book a limo, be greeted by a professional chauffeur and ride home in style- all for about the same price as a taxi.

To use EmptyLimo, passengers simply log on to the website, or use one of the convenient iPhone or Android apps to calculate a quote for their desired trip. After they accept the rate quote, it is sent out to all of the participating chauffeured services in the area. No credit card information or financial commitment is required through the site. Once a company accepts the reservation, they contact the passenger directly for airline information and payment details.

What’s the catch? There isn’t one, really. EmptyLimo was created to fill the empty leg of car service trips. Often a chauffeured sedan service has a full fare to or from the airport, and then has an empty return trip. EmptyLimo makes the empty trip more productive and cost-effective for the provider and the passenger. Environmentally conscious travelers can appreciate the reduction in wasted fuel and resources, lessening their carbon footprint for transportation.

EmptyLimo does have a few limitations. Because its purpose is to offer highly discounted runs, the service only has last minute availability. Chauffeured sedan travel must be arranged between 1 hour, and no more than 12 hours, in advance of the trip and each reservation can accommodate up to 3 persons. EmptyLimo only provides airport transfers and the service in sedans.

What is EmptyLimo all about?
